To attend this course CISRS requires delegates to have an awareness and experience of scaffold structures.
Those meeting one of the following criteria will be accepted onto the course:
- Delegates must hold a current CISRS Scaffolder, Advanced or Supervisor card.
- Delegate holds a current or expired CISRS Basic Inspection card and is attend the course to renew.
Individuals not holding an eligible CISRS card detailed above wishing to attend the course will be required to submit a copy of their CV and/or certificates prior to attending and a delegate profile form with a letter from an employer confirming their awareness and experience of scaffolding structures gained via their role within industry and confirming that the delegate has had a minimum of 2 years’ experience in the role.
Examples of acceptable roles are:
- Scaffold Designer
- Contracts Manager
- Engineer
- Site Agent/Manager
- H&S Manager
- HSE Inspector
- Scaffolding Inspector who has previously attended a non CISRS Scaffold Inspection/Awareness course at least years before the start of the CISRS Basic SISTS course.
- Scaffolding Inspector who has previously attended a non CISRS Scaffold Inspection/Awareness course at least 2 years before the start of the CISRS Basic SISTS course.
A CITB HS&E test must have been taken within the last 2 years of the course start date (or an accepted exemption).
Qualification you gain
CISRS Basic Scaffold Inspection card and certificate
These are valid for 5 years
To renew your card you should have completed the CISRS Basic Scaffold Inspection course and passed a CITB HS&E test (or exemption) within 2 years.
CITB Grants
If your company is CITB registered, please provide your CITB levy number upon booking. Delegates will need to provide their full name, address, national insurance number and date of birth if you would like to claim for a grant, failure to do so will mean the delegates' achievement will not be uploaded and your grant will not be paid. Please provide the information to the training team before the course to avoid delay.
