Overview
Provides delegates with the knowledge to recognise a range of mental health conditions, how to start a supportive conversation and when and how to signpost a person to seek appropriate professional help. Who Should Attend Suitable for those who want to gain a basic introduction to mental health and who have the potential to meet/work with people experiencing or showing the symptoms of mental health difficulties.
The Course Includes:
What is the first aid for mental health
Identifying mental health conditions
Providing advice and starting a conversation
Understanding stress
Entry Requirements
No specific requirements however delegates should be competent in written and spoken English. There will be a written exam.
Course Duration
Half Day (minimum of 4 hours)
Certification
Endorsement will be issued upon completion of the course which is valid for 3 years. Delegates should complete the full course again to renew their certification
